Babbitt, et al. v. Albertson's was one of four class actions Goldstein, Demchak, Baller, Borgen & Dardarian filed challenging job segregation and lack of promotional opportunities for women and minorities in large grocery store chains in large grocery store chains in California.  See also, Stender v. The Babbitt case resulted in a settlement under which Albertson's paid $24.5 million to the class and agreed to implement extensive injunctive relief designed to equalize employment opportunities for its female and Hispanic employees.
